Dear Friend, June is the perfect time to think of how birding can bring people together. Join us in celebrating Indigenous History Month, Black Birders Week, and Pride Month. Birding gives communities across Canada a chance to take a break, seek refuge in nature, and discover the wonders of birds – moments everyone should experience. We hope to see you flock to the outdoors this month to celebrate all that June is offering. Experience Northern Flickers call out “wik-a-wik-wik-a-wik-a” in the early mornings, hear Indigo Buntings singing “sweet-sweet, chew-chew, sweet-sweet” from telephone wires and bushes, or hear the Common Nighthawk cry out “peent peent” as they fly around at dusk.
